Dear reader, contrary to earlier rumour, the new EP will NOT be ready for release at this show. We have not finished recording the orchestral sections, and getting Christopher Lee AND David Lee Roth in the studio at the same time has proven more difficult than original imagined.

New Members! New Songs! Gigs Soon! Wednesday, April 16

Yes, it has all been ominously quiet during the dark months of winter, but we have not been idle! We have recruited the lusty and choleric Mr. Ben Wren onto the drum throne, and the nimble and vigorous Mr. Rael Jones onto our second Fender Telecaster.

We have been writing new material and then throwing it away for nearly 5 months now, and have a set of 10 plus advancing toward readiness. Please to be expecting giggage before the summer. We may post up some sneak previews of the new material - but we also might not.

This is a truly remarkable record. It’s not for the faint hearted – don’t even attempt it unless you’ve had a hearty breakfast of Genesis with a side order of King Crimson, and been snacking on Primus and Tool all morning.

Dave’s Sad Departure & New Line-Up Imminent Wednesday, November 28

Mike and Mike are sad to announce that David Croshaw has left the band to make time for new activities in the new year. It has been an awesome three years with Dave “Drum God” Croshaw in the throne, and he will be sorely missed.

Thumpermonkey are currently regrouping. We shall be adding Rael Jones (formally of Happy Eggs) to the line up, and a new drummer. We will be writing a stack of new material, changing the dynamics, adding some “new sounds” and should be back on the circuit by mid-way through next year.

In the meantime, go listen to Mike and Mike in The Doghouse Riley Band, who are currently writing new tunes and will be gigging heavily in the new year!
